Brief history
- Constructed in 1963 on 15.59 acres
in Hilltown Township. Dedicated on November 3, 1963
- The original building housed 10
classrooms two kindergarten rooms, a library, health room, all purpose room,
kitchen, faculty lounge, music room, itinerant teacher’s room, office,
curriculum/materials room and storage. Total cost: $930,000.
- In 1971, eight additional
classrooms were added.

support staff

- School Mascot: Bulldog
- John M. Grasse Elementary was
honored as a “National School of Excellence” in 1992-1993 by the US Department
of Education. The school was given the Blue Ribbon.
- In 2001 the addition of a new gym
was complete.
- Another annual event marks the
artistic achievements of two students each year when their art work is
selected to be framed and hung permanently in the Grasse Gallery throughout
the school building.
- New sign added for the
2005/2006 school year.
